Crypto affiliate program software tracks the users partners refer to an exchange, wallet or crypto service, from sign-up through verification, first deposit and trading, then pays CPA or a share of fees while filtering out fraud and restricted regions. MassPartner covers this with S2S postbacks, fraud scoring on every click, country allow and block lists, approval holds and payouts in crypto or fiat.
Crypto programs combine two risks: referral fraud built to farm sign-up bonuses, and marketing rules that differ by country. This page shows how each part works on MassPartner and where your own compliance work remains. For the general brand-side overview, see MassPartner for brands.
What crypto exchange affiliate software needs to handle
- Deep-funnel events. A sign-up is cheap to fake, so most exchanges pay on a verified account, a first deposit or trading activity.
- Revenue share on fees. Exchange and wallet programs often pay a percentage of trading or service fees for the life of the account or for a fixed period. The RevShare base is fee revenue, not deposit volume.
- Geo control. Licensing and registration are country-specific, so referrals from some regions must be excluded.
- Fraud resistance. Sign-up bonuses attract multi-accounting, self-referral, bots and incentivized traffic.
- Crypto payouts. Many crypto publishers prefer stablecoins or BTC to bank wires. Our list of affiliate programs that pay in crypto shows how established programs handle minimums, networks and payout timing.
How MassPartner handles crypto affiliate programs
Track sign-ups, deposits and fees via S2S
Store the click ID when the user lands, then send postbacks from your backend at each step: a registration event at sign-up, a deposit event when the first deposit is credited, and sale events carrying fee revenue for RevShare. If you only want to pay for verified users, send the event after your KYC check passes.
Because postbacks run server side, they work for events confirmed by your KYC provider or your deposit system, with no browser session involved. Each request is authenticated with a per-brand secret token or an HMAC signature; the S2S postback tracking page explains the setup.
CPA, RevShare and hybrid deals
Pay a fixed CPA per verified or funded account, a RevShare on fees, or a hybrid deal. RevShare is calculated on the revenue amount you send in each postback, so compute fee revenue per referred user in your backend, net of rebates if your terms say so, and post it on your billing cycle.
The lifetime payout model pays for the account's lifetime or stops after a set number of days, and the recurring model limits ongoing payments to a set number of months. Our comparison of CPA vs RevShare vs hybrid shows how to price each option.
Country allow and block lists
Each campaign can allow only specific countries or block others. A click from an excluded country is logged with the reason and receives no click ID, so it never becomes a commission, and blocked clicks show up in your reports. Keep the lists aligned with where you are authorized or registered, and update them when that changes. See country blocking for how this works at click level.
Fraud scoring and holds
Every click gets a fraud score from datacenter and hosting IP detection, click-velocity limits, user-agent and header checks, IP reputation with automatic blacklisting, and device fingerprinting. Conversions from high-risk clicks are not auto-approved.
Delayed approval keeps commissions pending for a set number of days, long enough for your compliance team to catch duplicate accounts or bonus abuse, and manual approval lets them review each conversion. The affiliate fraud detection guide covers the patterns to watch for.
Payouts in crypto or fiat
Affiliates set their payout method in their own dashboard: crypto wallet, PayPal, Payoneer or bank transfer. Payout batches pick up each affiliate's method and wallet details, and you can export payout files for your treasury or payment provider. Professional and higher plans include automated payouts.
Contracts, creatives and portal
AI-assisted affiliate contracts include prohibited-actions clauses for incentivized traffic, false or misleading claims, brand bidding, unsolicited email and cookie stuffing, among others. You can add custom sections, for example requiring the risk warnings your regulators expect. Affiliates sign electronically, and every version is kept with PDF export.
The banner library holds approved creatives, including HTML5 banners. Your program runs on a branded portal at masspartner.com/your-brand, and affiliates can find it through the MassPartner marketplace.
Compliance caveats for crypto affiliate marketing
The rules depend on where your users are, and they keep changing. Three examples, as of October 2026:
- European Union. The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) sets uniform EU rules for crypto-asset issuers and service providers. ESMA lists full application from December 2024, a transitional period for existing providers that ran until 1 July 2026 at the latest, and a register of authorized providers (ESMA).
- United Kingdom. Since 8 October 2023, cryptoasset promotions to UK consumers, including from overseas firms, must go through one of four lawful routes, such as approval by an FCA-authorized firm. Promotions outside those routes breach section 21 of FSMA, a criminal offence (FCA). The FCA's social media guidance covers influencers and affiliate marketers who communicate financial promotions (FCA FG24/1).
- Paid search. Google Ads requires certification for crypto exchanges and software wallets, and eligibility depends on licensing or registration in each targeted country (Google Ads policy). Decide in your contract whether affiliates may run paid search at all.
Write these rules into your affiliate contract, block countries you can't serve, and get legal advice for each market. Nothing here is legal, tax or investment advice, and no affiliate program guarantees earnings.
Set up a crypto affiliate program in six steps
- Create a campaign per product or region with its commission type and payout model.
- Set allowed or blocked countries to match your authorizations and registrations.
- Choose approval rules: delayed or manual for deposits and fee revenue, so fraud checks can run before commissions are approved.
- Integrate postbacks for registration, deposit and fee events, authenticated with your postback secret.
- Generate the affiliate contract with your prohibited actions and risk-warning requirements, and add approved creatives.
- Test with a real click, confirm events and amounts in your reports, then open the program to affiliates.

FAQ
What is crypto affiliate program software?
It is software that tracks users referred by affiliates to a crypto exchange, wallet or service, calculates CPA or revenue-share commissions and manages partner payouts. Good tools also restrict countries and score traffic for fraud.
Can I pay affiliates in crypto with MassPartner?
Yes. Affiliates can choose crypto as their payout method, alongside PayPal, Payoneer and bank transfer, and payout batches include each affiliate's wallet details for export.
How is RevShare calculated for a crypto exchange program?
RevShare is calculated as a percentage of the revenue amount your backend sends in each postback. Compute the fee revenue per referred user on your side and post it on your billing cycle.
Does MassPartner handle KYC?
No. KYC stays in your onboarding flow. Send the registration or deposit event after the user passes verification if you only want to pay for verified accounts.
How do I keep referrals out of restricted countries?
Set allowed or blocked countries on each campaign. Clicks from excluded countries are logged, receive no click ID and cannot generate a commission.
